Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or plant-based meat.
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Reserve some for topping if desired.
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 1 packet taco seasoning Mix according to package instructions.
  • to taste Cooking spray For greasing the muffin tin.

Optional Toppings

  • to taste sour cream
  • to taste salsa
  • to taste lettuce
  • to taste tomatoes

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Don't forget to drain the excess fat!
  • Add the taco seasoning to the beef and mix according to the package instructions.
  • Spray a muffin tin with cooking spray.

Assembly

  • Place a wonton wrapper in each muffin cup, pressing down to form a cup shape.
  • Fill each cup with a spoonful of the seasoned beef and top with cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until the wonton wrappers are crispy and golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  • Serve with optional toppings like sour cream, salsa, lettuce, and tomatoes.

Notes

Taco Cups can keep well in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, pop them back in the oven for a few minutes to regain their crispiness. These can also be assembled a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
