  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese For a bold flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk Can use whole, 2%, or skim milk.
  • 2 tablespoons butter For melting.

Cooking

  • Cook the macaroni pasta according to package directions, then drain.
  • In a pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the drained macaroni back into the pot.
  • Pour in the milk and stir to combine.
  • Gradually add the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, stirring until melted and creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

You can add crispy bacon bits, chili flakes, or breadcrumbs on top for added texture and flavor. For storage, let it cool, then store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop with a splash of milk.
