Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese divided
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese

Seasonings

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and black pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Place the chicken breasts in the baking dish in a single layer.
  • In a bowl, combine sour cream, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, cornstarch, oregano, garlic powder, and salt and pepper. Stir until smooth.
  • Place a slice of mozzarella cheese on each chicken breast.
  • Spread the sour cream mixture over the chicken and sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese.

Baking

  • Bake for about 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  • Let it stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve hot with steamed veggies and garlic bread. This dish can be stored in an airtight container for about 3-4 days in the fridge, or frozen for longer storage. Thaw overnight and reheat in the oven before serving.
