  • 8 pieces Taco shells
  • 1 cup Cheese (cheddar or American) Shredded
  • 1 cup Lettuce Chopped
  • 1 medium Tomato Diced
  • 1 small Onion Sliced
  • ¼ cup Pickles Sliced
  • ¼ cup Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper To taste

Preparation

  • Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Form the ground beef into loose balls and smash them onto the skillet with a spatula.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes until crispy, then flip and add cheese on top to melt.
  • Warm the taco shells in another skillet or the microwave.

Assembly

  • Assemble tacos with smashed burgers, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Use a cast-iron skillet for the best sear. For variations, substitute ground beef for turkey or plant-based meat, and consider adding different sauces for extra flavor.
