  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix together jerk seasoning, allspice, thyme, garlic, onion, bell pepper, and brown sugar.
  • Rub the mixture over the chicken thighs, making sure to massage the flavors in well.

Cooking

  • Place the chicken in the slow cooker and add the chicken broth.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.

Serving

  • Serve the jerk chicken over rice and peas, drizzled with sauce from the slow cooker.
