  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs Beaten in one at a time.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Spoon and level to avoid overpacking.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Cream Cheese Mixture

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure cheese is soft for easy mixing.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
  • In a separate bowl, mix softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.

Baking

  • Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto a baking sheet and, using a spoon, create a swirl by adding a small dollop of cream cheese mixture on top.
  • Drizzle salted caramel over each cookie.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
  • Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

These cookies can be served warm or allowed to cool for a chewy experience. Best paired with vanilla ice cream or coffee.
