Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups gluten free all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil or melted coconut oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup water

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the gluten-free flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add the vegetable oil, vanilla extract, apple cider vinegar, and water. Stir until well combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm for a cozy dessert experience. You can add chocolate ganache, powdered sugar, or vanilla ice cream for serving. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
