Ingredients
  

For the Marinade

  • 1 cup plain yogurt Use plain, unsweetened yogurt.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed Cut into uniform pieces for even cooking.
  • Skewers (wooden or metal) If using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes prior.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine yogurt, olive oil, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  • Add the cubed chicken to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

Grilling

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers.
  • Grill the kabobs for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.

Serving

  • Serve the kabobs with saffron rice or a fresh salad.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months and reheat on the grill or in the oven.
