  • 2 cups Milk Can substitute with plant-based milk for a vegan version.
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese Grated; can swap for vegan cheese.
  • 2 tbsp Butter For sautéing; can use olive oil for a dairy-free option.
  • to taste Salt Enhances all flavors.
  • to taste Pepper Freshly ground for best flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat and add minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant.
  • Add the pasta and enough water or broth to cover it.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  • Stir in milk and cook until pasta is al dente, about 10 minutes.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to taste.

Serving

  • Serve hot in a large, shallow bowl, garnished with extra Parmesan and fresh parsley.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 5 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat with a splash of milk.
