Ingredients
  

For the pie crust

  • 1 package pre-made pie crusts

For the apple filling

  • 3 cups peeled and diced apples Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust based on apple sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Brightens flavor and prevents mushiness
  • 1 tablespoon butter For topping
  • a pinch salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the pie crusts and cut circles that will fit your muffin tin.
  • In a bowl, mix the apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and salt until the apples are well coated.
  • Place the dough circles into the muffin tin.
  • Fill each crust with the apple mixture, leaving some room for the joy to bubble over.
  • Add a dab of butter on top of the filling in each pie.

Baking

  • Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let them cool a bit, and then enjoy!

Notes

Serve with powdered sugar on top or alongside vanilla ice cream for a delicious treat. Store in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months.
