Ingredients
  

For the brownie base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

For the glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9 x 13 inch pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar until combined.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Stir in the lemon zest and lemon juice.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let it cool completely.
  • For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth.
  • Drizzle the glaze over cooled brownies, slice, and serve.

Notes

These Lemonies will last about 3-4 days in the fridge. Feel free to freeze them for up to 3 months. Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor and adjust the glaze sweetness according to your preference.
