  • 1 tablespoon oil canola or avocado

For the Buns:

  • 8 hot dog buns
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted

Optional Toppings & Sides:

  • 1 cup caramelized onions
  • 1 cup sautéed bell peppers
  • ½ cup crispy bacon bits
  • 8 slices cheddar Swiss, or American cheese
  • 1 cup fries or hash browns

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Blackstone Griddle
  • Turn on the griddle and set it to medium heat.
  • Allow it to heat for 5–10 minutes until it reaches 375°F to 400°F.
  • Lightly coat the surface with oil to prevent sticking.
  • Cook the Hot Dogs
  • Place the hot dogs on the griddle using tongs (avoid piercing the casing).
  • Rotate them every 2–3 minutes to ensure an even sear.
  • Cook for about 7–10 minutes, or until golden brown with slight charring.
  • Toast the Buns
  • Slice the buns (if not pre-sliced) and lightly butter the inside.
  • Place them cut-side down on the griddle for 1–2 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  • Prepare Toppings (Optional)
  • Caramelized onions: Cook sliced onions in butter for 10 minutes until golden.
