Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni

Cheese

  • 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese Divided
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Sauce Ingredients

  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Topping

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the macaroni according to package instructions and drain.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until thickened.
  • Remove from heat and stir in 2 cups of Cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan until melted.
  • Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni.
  • Pour into a greased baking dish and sprinkle the remaining Cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs on top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a twist, toss in some cooked bacon or veggies. Top with fresh herbs for extra flavor.
