Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried lentils
  • 2 cups water for blending and soaking
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin optional
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for greasing the loaf pan

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rinse the lentils under cold water and soak them in water for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • Drain and rinse the lentils, then blend them with 2 cups of water until smooth.
  • Add salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cumin to the blended mixture.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan with olive oil.
  • Pour the lentil mixture into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is firm and lightly browned.

Serving

  • Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Store in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave or oven to maintain freshness.
