Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix together the whole wheat flour, almond flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, combine the coconut sugar, applesauce, melted coconut oil, and almond milk.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Scoop small amounts of dough and roll them into bite-sized balls.
  • Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • While still warm, roll the churro bites in a mix of cinnamon and coconut sugar.

Notes
