Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour Can substitute with regular flour for non-gluten-free option.
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar Can add more for a sweeter flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • as needed Cooking spray For spraying the air fryer basket.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix together the almond flour, coconut sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Stir in the applesauce and vanilla extract until a dough forms.
  • Shape the dough into small bite-sized pieces.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  • Place the churro bites in the basket, making sure they are not touching.

Cooking

  • Air fry for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown. Keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking.

Finishing Touch

  • Allow to cool slightly, then dust with extra coconut sugar and cinnamon before serving.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2-3 days. For longer storage, refrigerate. They taste best fresh out of the air fryer.
