  • 2 tubes crescent dough sheets Ready-to-use
  • 1 pound deli-sliced ham Any preferred type of ham
  • 8 pieces cheddar cheese sticks Can substitute with another cheese if desired

Butter mixture

  • ¼ cup melted butter For brushing on top
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce Adds umami flavor
  • ½ tablespoon Dijon mustard For a tangy taste
  • ½ tablespoon dried minced onion or onion powder Enhances flavor
  • ½ tablespoon poppy seeds For added texture

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare a baking sheet by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the crescent dough sheets and cut each one into 4 pieces, giving you 8 pieces total.
  • Distribute the ham evenly among the 8 pieces of dough.
  • Place a cheddar cheese stick on top of the ham on each piece.
  • Fold in the ends of each piece and then roll to seal.
  • Place the prepared sticks on the baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, onion, and poppy seeds.
  • Brush the butter mixture over each stick.

Baking

  • Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until they turn golden brown.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days in an airtight container, or frozen for up to a month. Reheat them in the oven for best results. Consider using different cheeses or adding jalapeños for a spicier kick.
