Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 1 package Oreo cookies Regular or mint-flavored.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Can substitute with vegan cream cheese.

Coating and Decoration

  • 1 cup green candy melts For coating the truffles.
  • 1 cup red candy melts For decorating the Santa hats.
  • 1 tube black icing For decorating the eyes.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos and softened cream cheese until well blended.
  • Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Freeze the balls for about 30 minutes until firm.

Coating

  • Melt the green candy melts according to package instructions.
  • Dip the chilled Oreo balls into the melted green candy, coating them completely.
  • Return the truffles to the baking sheet and let them set.

Decoration

  • Decorate with red candy melt for the Santa hat and use black icing for the eyes.
  • Allow the decorations to set before serving.

Notes

Chill truffles for best coating. Use a fork for quicker dipping. If coating is thick, add shortening for a smoother texture. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for a month.
