Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups gluten free flour blend
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed Important for flakiness
  • 1 cup milk or dairy-free milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar (optional) Use if desired for sweetness

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the cold cubed butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Stir in the milk (and honey or sugar if using) until just combined.
  • Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently a few times until smooth.
  • Roll out the dough to about 1 inch thick and cut into desired shapes.
  • Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

These biscuits are best enjoyed warm. They can last 3-4 days in the fridge in an airtight container. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months and reheat in the oven.
