  • 2 cups Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour Blend (with xanthan gum) Ensure blend includes xanthan gum for best results.
  • 4 teaspoons Baking Powder Leavening agent for biscuits.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Enhances flavor.

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Cold Butter, cubed or grated Chill butter for flakiness.
  • 3/4 cup Milk (or Dairy-Free Alternative) Use dairy-free if preferred.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Add the milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix!
  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat it into a 3/4-inch thick rectangle.
  • Use a biscuit cutter or a sharp knife to cut out biscuits, placing them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter if desired.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Store biscuits in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Freeze for about a month and reheat in the oven.
