  • 1 cup heavy cream For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Don't skimp on the Parmesan for maximum flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional) Adds color and freshness.

Instructions
 

Cooking the Pasta

  • Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for about 2-3 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  • Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combining

  • Toss the cooked fettuccine in the sauce until well coated.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat gently with a splash of cream or milk.
