Pasta and Sauce Ingredients

  • 12 oz Fettuccine pasta Use fresh or dried pasta
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Butter Unsalted butter recommended
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese Freshly grated for best results
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced, optional but recommended
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. If using, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Cooking

  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce, tossing to coat.

Serving

  • Serve warm, optionally topping with grilled chicken, shrimp, or veggies.

Notes

For a smoother texture, use freshly grated Parmesan instead of pre-grated. Add a pinch of nutmeg for a surprising depth of flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for a month.
