Cheese Sauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

  • Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente.
  • Drain the macaroni and set aside.

Cooking

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.

  • Gradually add the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.
  • Toss in the cooked macaroni and mix well until every piece is coated in the cheese sauce.

Notes

You can mix different cheeses for unique flavors or add extras like crispy bacon or hot sauce. For storage, let leftovers cool, then store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days. Reheat on the stove with a splash of milk.
