  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Make sure to soften the butter for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour If dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Stir in the honey and vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, combine oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mix to the wet ingredients.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

These cookies can be served with ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce. Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For extended freshness, refrigerate them.
