  • 3 medium medium apples, peeled and cut into wedges Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (optional for extra crispiness) Can skip if a lighter texture is desired.

Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix together the flour, cinnamon, and sugar.
  • Dip each apple wedge into the beaten egg, then coat with the flour mixture. For extra crunch, dip in breadcrumbs after the flour.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  • Place the coated apple wedges in the basket in a single layer.

Cooking

  • Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  • Remove and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, or a dollop of whipped cream for dipping. You can also sprinkle with extra cinnamon and sugar before serving.
