  • 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine Use any preferred pasta type.
  • 1 cup ripe tomatoes, diced Fresh tomatoes recommended for best flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can be substituted with milk and cream cheese for a lighter version.
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced Sauté until golden for enhanced flavor.
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil For sautéing garlic.
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped Adds a fresh aroma and flavor.

Seasoning

  • to taste Salt For seasoning the pasta and sauce.
  • to taste Pepper For added flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Boil salted water in a large pot and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until golden brown.

Cooking

  • Add diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream until well blended.
  • Toss cooked pasta in the sauce until evenly coated.
  • Serve topped with fresh basil and optional grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For best results, ensure that the pasta is cooked just in time with the sauce. You can also add spinach or zucchini for extra nutrition. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat gently with a splash of cream or water.
