  • 1 pound breakfast sausage Cooked until browned
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 6 cups shredded hash browns
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional) For garnish

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, layer the hash browns, cooked sausage, and cheese. Pour the egg mixture over the top, and sprinkle with green onions if desired.

Cooking

  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until set and golden on top. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve hot with fresh fruit or crispy bacon for a complete breakfast. Drizzle with hot sauce or serve with sour cream for added flavor. Store leftovers in the fridge for 3-4 days.
