  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Topping Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup chocolate chips For ganache
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream For ganache

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  • Mix in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.

Baking

  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the brownies cool in the pan.

Ganache Preparation

  • In a small saucepan over low heat, combine chocolate chips and heavy cream, stirring until smooth to create the ganache.

Serving

  • Once the brownies are cool, top them with sliced strawberries and pour the chocolate ganache over the top.
  • Allow the ganache to set before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes

These brownies keep well in the fridge for about 4-5 days. Store in an airtight container. They can also be frozen—just wrap in plastic wrap before placing in a freezer bag.
