Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Filling

  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened Use room temperature for a smoother mix.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs Add one at a time, mixing well after each.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped apples (Granny Smith works great)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce For drizzling on top.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Don't skip for flavor!
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg Don't skip for flavor!

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar together until smooth.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in vanilla extract, then fold in chopped apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Pour cream cheese mixture over the crust in the baking dish. Drizzle caramel sauce on top.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until the center is set.

Cooling and Serving

  • Let it cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
  • Serve chilled, optionally topping with additional caramel sauce or a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months; thaw in the fridge overnight before serving. Use room-temperature ingredients for a smoother mix. For a firmer bar, chill longer before cutting.
