  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Low sodium recommended
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish Optional, for serving

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, and olive oil.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then place them in a baking dish.
  • Pour the brown sugar mixture over the chicken, ensuring they’re well coated.

Cooking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Serving

  • Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Marinate the chicken in the sauce for an hour for extra flavor. Chicken thighs work well too; adjust the cooking time slightly. For a spiced-up version, add chili flakes.
