Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon more can be added for extra flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk can substitute with oat or almond milk
  • 1 large egg can be replaced with a flax egg for a vegan option
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced apples finely diced for the best texture
  • cooking spray or oil for frying to prevent sticking
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and sugar.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Fold in the diced apples.

Cooking

  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the basket, making sure not to overcrowd.
  • Cook for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through if needed.
  • Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. They can also be frozen and reheated in the air fryer for best results.
