  • 1 teaspoon baking powder Helps the topping rise.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well, then pour into a greased baking dish.

Topping

  • In another bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, melted butter, baking powder, and salt until it looks crumbly.
  • Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples in the baking dish.

Baking

  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the apples are bubbly.

Serving

  • Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of nutmeg or ginger. Store in the fridge for 3-4 days and reheat before serving.
