Ingredients
  

For the Fried Pickles

  • 1 cup sliced pickles
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce Use Tabasco or your preferred brand
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs For best texture

For the Dipping Sauce

  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup minced onions Finer is better
  • 1 clove garlic Minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill Optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pat the sliced pickles dry using paper towels.
  • In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, flour, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper to make the egg wash.
  • In another shallow dish, place your panko breadcrumbs.

Dipping and Frying

  • Dip each pickle into the egg wash, ensuring all sides are coated.
  • Coat the pickles with breadcrumbs and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange the pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket, and spray lightly with cooking oil.
  • Air-fry for 5-7 minutes until golden, then flip them, spray again, and fry for another 5-7 minutes.

Making the Dip

  • In a small bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, salt, black pepper, minced onions, garlic, and dill.

Notes

Serve the crispy fried pickles with the creamy dip. They are perfect for parties or game nights. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days, reheating in the air fryer for best results.
