  • 1 box elbow noodles (16oz)
  • 2 cups milk
  • ¼ cup all purpose flour
  • 2 Tablespoons butter

Cooking

  • Cook the noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • While the noodles cook, melt the butter in a small sauce pot over medium heat.
  • Toss in the flour and whisk together until combined.
  • Gradually add the milk and keep whisking until smooth and thickened (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Stir in the shredded cheese and whisk until melted.
  • Pour the cheese sauce over the cooked noodles and stir to combine. Serve hot.

Optional Baking

  • For a crispy twist, bake at 350°F for 20 minutes with a sprinkle of breadcrumbs on top.

Notes
