  • 3 pieces ripe bananas Use overripe for added sweetness.
  • 120 grams creamy peanut butter Can substitute with almond or sunflower seed butter.
  • 50 grams cocoa powder Sifted to ensure a smooth batter.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a 15 cm x 15 cm (7 inch x 7 inch) brownie pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mash the 3 ripe bananas until they’re smooth and creamy.
  • Add the peanut butter to the mashed bananas. Stir until the mixture is completely smooth.
  • Sift in the cocoa powder and mix until combined.

Baking

  • Transfer the batter to the prepared brownie pan.
  • Bake in your hot oven for 22 to 30 minutes — check around 27 minutes.

Cooling

  • Let them cool completely at room temperature before slicing.

Notes

For serving, enjoy them plain, top with whipped cream or ice cream, or drizzle with caramel or chocolate sauce. They keep well in the fridge for 3-5 days or can be frozen for up to 3 months.
