  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 8 cloves garlic minced

  • 1 tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • ½ cup chicken broth or seafood stock
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce optional, for extra heat
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Sauté the AromaticsMelt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Toast the SpicesAdd the Old Bay seasoning, paprika, Cajun seasoning, lemon pepper seasoning, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, and chili powder. Stir well and let the spices toast for about 1-2 minutes to enhance their flavors.
